The Square Academy
Supporting pharmacy education in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Square Foundation works with the universities who select students who are in need of support.
In this way, we can use the collective resources of pharmacists around the world to support pharmacy education and help to improve health care in sub-Saharan Africa.
Health Care outcomes in the most of sub-Saharan Africa are poor compared to the rest of the world, partly due to the environmental conditions of the region and partly because of the fewer resources available.
The Square Foundation, supports pharmacy education through scholarships, donation of equipment and e-learning courses (The Square Academy). It encourages pharmacy students to complete their professional training and make a significant contribution to the health of the nation by:
Understanding how to use the knowledge and skills to benefit patients
Helping develop the judgement essential for a practicing health care professional
Access to pharmaceutical knowledge from around the world
